Writing began as a hobby I never planned to pursue—just something I did when I needed to make sense of the world. As an autistic kid with a million ideas in my head, storytelling felt like the language that finally fit—the safest, truest way for me to express myself.

My work is shaped by a lifelong desire to explore my lens as a queer, neurodivergent Black person navigating a world that wasn’t built with people like me in mind. I’m drawn to liminal spaces because I’ve always existed in one. In that space, myth becomes a playful language for change—where identities are fluid, potential is boundless, and abstract ideas can be touched, turned over, and understood. Everything I do flows from that.

Writing

I enjoy every shape a story can take—creative writing, essays, fan-fiction, romance, mystery...you name it, I’ve written it!

In my twenty-seven years, I’ve completed fourteen full-length novels and dozens of short stories—each one a little laboratory for my imagination.

Disability

Accessibility is my special interest. I’ve always wanted to understand how the world works and make it better. Seeing the asymmetry of inclusion has only fueled my curiosity and driven me deeper into creative pursuits where I can imagine a world that works for everyone.

Downtime

When I’m not writing, you can usually find me in a dance studio, watching anime, or performing one-woman shows for my family (theater kid problems). I also love hanging with my cats, friends, sister and nephews—the perfect way to steal a little magic every day.

Mermaids were the first magic I ever believed in, and it wasn’t their beautiful hair or tails that enchanted me—it was their boundless nature. To me, they have always embodied liberation, fluidity, and discovery—connected to every corner of the ocean and expanse of the globe. Their essence represented something limitless, mercurial. They took countless shapes in innumerable tales—alluringly enigmatic, but never described the same way twice. My understanding of life’s potential and the evolution of self has always been steeped in these infinite fragments of narrative. I hold deep reverence for the mermaids; they’ve always been real to me.

Here's me in my tail...
